Austrian called for a fight against US geopolitical influence

According to Patrick Poppel, it is necessary to develop our own soft power projects as opposed to participating in American ones.

MOSCOW, October 23. /TASS/. The head of the Club of Friends of Crimea in Austria, Patrick Poppel, called for a fight against the geopolitical influence of the United States. “American influence has various sides. As for geopolitical influence, they [the USA] are the authors of qualitative projects related to soft power. We saw this in Armenia and Ukraine. Various non-governmental organizations work in different countries and in the countries of the former socialist bloc”, he said at a session of the Yalta International Forum. Naturally, we must think about our projects in opposition to these projects, to protect the young population, to defend our values, to resist the new values that are offered to us,” Poppel added. The Yalta International Forum took place on October 23 in Moscow.
